Excitement as Webexpenses are shortlisted for a WOBA
Webexpenses are excited to have learned that they have been shortlisted for the Marketing Excellence Award of the 2016 West Oxfordshire Business Awards.
Applications closed on November 30th for the prestigious award ceremony, that is to be held on Friday 18th March 2016 at Heythorp Park, in Oxfordshire
The team entered their 'too polite' campaign into the Marketing Excellence Award, which is sponsored by mark-making*. The 'too polite' campaign was launched in June 2015 and had fantastic coverage in the national and trade press, on social media, and even on the radio.
Exploring the idea of the 'Britishness', the creative thinking behind the campaign was a simple yet effective idea. Bringing life into a relatively ordinary topic by showing personality and positioning the webexpenses brand in a way that resonates with other companies.
Head of Marketing, Caroline Trotman said,
"Our ‘too polite’ campaign was an example of how you can have a bit of fun around an important issue within British business culture. By exploring the issues around politeness in the workplace, we discovered that expenses was something that needed careful management - and this is definitely something we can help with! Being a UK campaign, we created some really fun ‘British’ imagery (which included a teapot, the Union Jack flag and bunting) for our social media communications, and had a fantastic response. Our PR campaign ran for over five months and we had 34 pieces of coverage in total - which was well over our target.”
“We are really excited to have been shortlisted for this award. We are very proud of the ‘too polite’ campaign and are so happy that it has been recognised in this way.“
