Webexpenses Achieves PCI DSS v4.0 Certification

Oxford, UK - Webexpenses, a leading provider of cloud-based expense management software, announced today that is has achieved certification from the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 4.0 after previously adhering to PCI DSS 3.2.1.

The PCI Data Security Standard is a global standard that provides a baseline for technical and operational requirements designated to protect payment data.

PCI DSS v4.0 aims to provide an increasingly robust and comprehensive framework for securing payment card data, and companies who acquire this certification demonstrate their ongoing commitment to providing the highest possible security.

The goals for PCI 4.0 compliance include:

  • Continuing to meet the security needs of the payment industry
  • Promote security and a continuous process
  • Add flexibility for different methodologies
  • Enhance validation methods

Andy May, General Manager of Webexpenses commented on the certification: "Data security is of paramount importance to our customers, and achieving PCI DSS 4.0 certification is a testament to our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security."

He added, "Our customers can trust us to protect their data and provide them with a secure platform to manage their expenses."

This achievement comes after Webexpenses implemented measures that exceeded the previous requirements of PCI DSS 3.2.1. Webexpenses strives to remain an industry leader in cyber security, and so this new standard gives clients and potential customers confidence that processed data is securely transferred.
