Webexpenses wins at West Oxfordshire Business Awards

Webexpenses were excited to attend the 2016 West Oxfordshire Business Awards (WOBAs) on Friday 18th March at Heythrop Park, Chipping Norton. After much anticipation leading up to the event, they were thrilled to walk away as Winner of the new Marketing Excellence Award, sponsored by mark-making.

The prestigious ceremony had awards sponsored by Burford Garden Centre, Wychwood Brewery, First Sight Media, Owen Mumford and The MGroup to name but a few.

The criteria for finalists was to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Clear campaign objectives/goals
  • A clear strategic plan for before, during and after the activities
  • Creative and original thinking
  • Measurable results

Webexpenses built their application around the 2015 ‘Too Polite’ campaign, that aimed to make a splash in the media with a fun and attention-grabbing story around politeness in the UK workplace, and how this impacts on expense management.  Achieving much media coverage around the campaign, including national press and a specialist radio interview, the team were optimistic about their entry.

Caroline Trotman, Head of Marketing said:

“I am absolutely thrilled that webexpenses has won the Marketing Excellence Award. Planning and executing our ‘Too Polite’ campaign was great fun, and a real team effort. Not only were we delighted with the results of the campaign itself, but also we could not be happier to be recognised as an award-winning marketing team.”

After winning the award on Friday, webexpenses will automatically be put into The Ridgeway Marketing Excellence Award at the upcoming OBAs (Oxfordshire Business Awards).
