Webexpenses Hike ‘n’ Bike 2021 for charity Special Effect

This October, the Webexpenses team will be taking part in Hike ‘n’ Bike - a Webexpenses fundraising event in support of our chosen charity partner, Special Effect.

The event starts at 9AM on Friday 15th October, at Webexpenses UK office in Witney. The team will be completing different levels of walking and cycling routes and will be challenged with either a 40/80-mile cycling route or a 10/20-mile walking route.

Who is Special Effect?

Special Effect help people with physical disabilities enjoy video games to the very best of their abilities. They use intuitive technology including modified joypads and eye control to find a unique way for people to play. At the heart of their work, is to “maximise fun and quality of life.”

Nick Streeter, Fundraiser at Special Effect says,

“We are incredibly grateful for Webexpenses support throughout the year, including Miles in May and now, Hike ‘n’ Bike. The efforts of the team and their sponsors will make an enormous difference by helping people with disabilities to play video games with their friends and families”.

The Webexpenses team are working closely together to plan designated routes and provide onhand help when needed. During the Hike ‘n’ Bike, the team will be provided with a ‘fuel bag’ to keep the momentum going. Also, the team will pack and wear essential items to have a comfortable yet challenging walk or cycle. Once the event has finished, the team will gather together at the Webexpenses office for pizza and refreshments to celebrate raising funds for a fantastic cause.
