An end-of-year message from Webexpenses CEO Adam Reynolds

With just a couple of weeks remaining until the start of a new year and a new decade, we wanted to take the time to look back and reflect on what has been a significant and defining 12 months for Webexpenses.

CEO Adam Reynolds sat down to discuss his key takeaways from the past year, and what more you can expect from Webexpenses in 2020.

Looking at the opportunities

The one word that defines 2019 for our company is opportunity. For the last few years the focus for Webexpenses has been on international expansion, building new regions and growing existing ones. This year however, opportunity has been focused around increasing the solutions and services available for our clients across those regions.

At the beginning of the year, Webexpenses was solely an expense management provider. Our team has worked tirelessly to broaden our product portfolio. We now provide our clients with further software solutions to manage more financial processes. Our expanded product line includes corporate travel management, invoice processing, expense payments and expense audit.

As with any organisation, challenges can arise. We have faced these challenges head-on, and refuse to let them define us. The goal is to always be open to improvement and to learn from hurdles we come across.

As a business, we are agile and have a quarterly focus across all teams. This quarterly focus means we can adapt easily and alter the course we are on; solving problems that arise efficiently and effectively.

Working with the best people

If it wasn't for our hardworking and dedicated team, we wouldn't be progressing at the rapid rate we are. The amount of learning and development provided is not only reflected in the company's growth, but also in the amount of internal moves and promotions we can offer our employees.

We are aware that we don't always give ourselves enough credit. As a team we prefer to focus on how we can push for further results. However the customer feedback we receive is exceptional and this is a reflection of the hardwork and effort that we see from the team.

When looking at our G2 reviews, the majority of customers have rewarded us with 5 stars, scoring us most highly in the areas of ‘Quality of Support’, ‘Product Direction’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business With’. These are fundamental pillars of the organisation and things we will continue to focus on.

Our solution promotes a better work-life balance, enabling employees to be efficient when processing their expenses and therefore allowing them to focus that work time on their role and helping their respective business to grow. This is heavily echoed in customer comments.

A continued focus on our clients and business partners

Our team is excited for the year ahead, with a continued focus on customer support and delivering software and services that suits the needs of our clients.

Our mission is to “always exceed expectations” and we embed this throughout the organisation. We have our roadmap in place and look forward to releasing further enhancements to our software.

Partnerships will play a key role in 2020, liaising with like-minded organisations that want to help our clients in the same way we do. We will continue to work closely with our business partners, building an ecosystem of options with the aim of providing the best tools and support to our customers.

Of course, a few surprises can be expected along the way - including massive updates to the expense management interface.

Overall we feel incredibly grateful to be working with such an enviable international client base and look forward to continued growth throughout 2020.
