Webexpenses sponsors two top finance awards
It’s an exciting week for the webexpenses as the winners are being announced for two major finance awards we have sponsored.
Newport in South Wales will be the venue for this year’s CIPP Annual Payroll and Pensions Awards with webexpenses sponsoring the newly launched Finance Project of the Year Award.
The CIPP national awards event is celebrating its 10th year and has firmly established itself as a showcase for the very best the finance sector has to offer.
The Finance Project of the Year Award is a new addition to the competition which rewards the team or individual who can best demonstrate the most effective and value-adding project during the previous 12 months.
The award ceremony is just part of a two-day event consisting of talks and workshops with Chairman Michael Richards heading up the Webexpenses team. The event is taking place in the Celtic Manor hotel, created by Welsh billionaire Sir Terry Matthews.
And anyone who meets up with our team should have business cards at the ready. We’re going to be collecting contact cards over the event and entering them into a special prize draw with the winner getting something lovely - which may well come in a hamper.
But that’s not going to be the only big webexpenses announcement on the night. Some 150 miles further north is another prestigious event - the North West Finance Awards (NWFA).
Webexpenses MD, Sanjay Parekh, will be there to congratulate the winner of the webexpenses sponsored Finance Controller of the Year Award. The NWFA Awards are now in their fourth year with the event celebrating the quality and talent of the region’s finance and accounting sector.
The judges will be choosing the winner from a shortlist of nine finalists who have been selected by a panel of experts with a wealth of experience in finance and accounting
Rachel Gregan, Head of Marketing at webexpenses said: “It’s certainly going to be a busy week for us but we’re really proud to be able to sponsor awards like this.
“The work of our finance teams doesn’t often get the credit it deserves, so these kind of events are a great way for webexpenses to promote the talent within the UK finance sector and to help raise the profile.”
The winner of the Finance Controller of the Year Award will be announced at a Gala Dinner and Awards Evening held in the conference suite of the Reebok Stadium in Bolton.
